The platform lift market place has evolved from the conception of 1500mm lifts to the present wide product range of facilities and solutions including low rise lifts with a half height gate at the upper level, fully enclosed lifts travelling up to approx 14 metres.
Types of Platform Lifts
This specific market arena has various types of platform lift from the traditional “L Shaped” platform A5000 which is supplied within our purpose built modular structure, to fully enclosed lifts:
Domus for more specific applications, and the heavy duty Axesslift, both of which can be presented as wall-mounted or structure-supported fittings, with a superb range of stunning finishes.
Public Access have total flexibility and accommodation within the ranges of 3 person up to 13 person platform lifts from two floor developments up to six floors, delivering a maximum travel of fourteen metres. Care however must be considered in specifying multi-floor high travel lifts, as the Disability Discrimination regulations state that the maximum speed of these lifts must not to exceed 0.15m/s, in doing this serious consideration has to be given to the fact that vertical platform lifts should not be considered as a cheaper alternative to the more commercial passenger lifts.
