Goods Lifts
Public Access Limited supply and install goods lifts to all market sectors where manual handling legislation makes the requirement for a lift a necessity. This ranges from service lifts suitable for moving food between levels through to large industrial lifts for moving bulky equipment within warehouses.
Service, Trolley and Goods Only lifts are designed specifically for moving goods on a pallet between floors throughout the industrial and retail sectors. However, current legislation precludes them from being used to carry passengers. Because these kinds of lifts do not carry personnel, the legislation governing their safety and protection is generally not as stringent as that for lifts where personnel are carried.
Different types of Goods Lifts
Conventional goods lifts, on the other hand, can be supplied to carry passengers as well as goods. They can be available in a range of custom sizes and finishes, but they are generally manufactured in “standard” capacities and sizes. Because personnel can be carried in these kinds of lifts, the level of safety and protection is the same as for passenger only lifts.
Goods lifts are used worldwide to carry items such as palletised goods, trolleys, warehouse stock, furniture or bulky goods, washing machines, large roll containers, heavy electrical or industrial equipment and sack barrows, to name just a few.
Goods lifts can be stand alone units that do not require long shafts with trailing wires. They do not need an upper or a below ground transit facilitating area, which makes them relatively easy to install. It also makes goods lifts more cost effective to purchase.
Service and Goods Lifts Operation
The structure that a goods lift operates in is fast and easy to erect, requiring minimal work and time for builders and specialist engineers. Because they do not need a separate room to house a motor system, they are very compact and take up no unnecessary space.
Unlike conventional passenger lifts, goods lifts do not need a load bearing wall or special lift shaft. This allows them to be ordered and delivered within a very short space of time. Their erection from start to working finish need only take a matter of a few days at most. This means that the disruption to normal business working can be held to a minimum, thereby saving time and money.
Public Access Limited has a wealth of experience and knowledge to provide the most efficient and effective solution to meet your requirements.
